Abstract

The present qualitative study which attempts to examine the rules of behaviour and the related variables preschool teachers’ have determined in the classroom has been conducted in Çanakkale through a semi-structured interview. 51 preschool teachers participated in the research. As a result of the study, it has been found out that most of the preschool teachers determine the rules of behaviour at the beginning of the term and have conversation with the learners in an attempt to adopt and determine the rules of behaviour utilizing from visuals. Furthermore, it has been found out the most bothering behaviour is to damage friends, complain and disrespectfulness. Therefore, in order to eliminate those behaviors, it has been found that preschool teachers establish parallel rules of behaviour, and in case of non-compliance with the rules preschool teachers give more verbal warning and use chair thinking.
