Songs, classified into the categories as anonymous songs and songs of which composers are known, are a great source representing the oral culture inTurkish folk poetry. Being identified as unwritten memory of Turkish people, anonymous song-texts not only reflect the collective soul of the people but also shed light into the personal adventures of human beings on earth. We are of the opinion that the inspiring and encouraging context of the heroism-themed songs, undertakesthe mission to revive the collective soul of the people and to unify them during troublesome periods.
