Human beings are aware that their existence will end some day somewhere, and funerals are their efforts to reconcile with this fact. We can assess funerals in Georgia in line with this consideration. In this study, place of funerals within the meaning of culture and everyday life will be discussed. The aim of the study is to reveal social patterns of funeral rituals in Georgia. As in all universal religions, the soul is believed to be present in another realm after death in Georgian culture. This belief has led to many socio-cultural and religious organizations.
