It can be seen that the "well" motive stands out with its important place in the lives of three characters -Yafes Çelebi, Calud and Üzeyir- in Anar's second novel Kitab-ül Hiyel which was published in 1996. "Well" can be associated with conceptual values such as "safety", "protection", "camouflage" and "wisdom" when it is considered as closed, narrow and deep. On the other hand, it can also be associated with other conceptual values like "unreliable", "scary", "uncontrolled" and "restraining" if it is perceived as subterranean, dark and dehydrated. The functions of well which is reflected from the consciousness of three generation inventors and which is a solution place for their passions, conflicts and problems are going to be questioned in this study.},author={Ebru ÖZGÜN},year={2016},journal={The Journal of Social Sciences}}
