Before choosing İslam as a religion, Turks firstly gave simple forms to the grave stones and afterwards they made small statues in order to represent female and male grave stones. This tradition was made in order to remember the dead people and leave a monument afterwards. With İslam religion, the revival after death belief effected the grave stones to the pagan people that had just became Muslim. The straight and elliptic forms took the place of human face on stones. After the stones took a specific shape, with the genre and art understanding that the scripture and decorations that had brought by the period, took the attention by the only title in the İslamic world.
