In this era, representatives of this literature have produced their works especially in Turkmen regions such as Kirkuk, Mosul and Tuzhurmatı. Among them, Turkmen poet, Ali Marufoğlu, has been considered as one of the important and magnificent names of Turkmen literature. To introduce poet Ali Marufoğlu to Turkish literature is aimed in this study. Information about his life, literary character and works has been collected by making interviews with Marufoğlu and completed studies about him until today has been gathered within the scope of this study. However; some difficulties have been raised sourcing from the conflictual atmosphere of the working field. Thus analyses have been done by available data. In this study it is ascertained that Ali Marufoğlu’s most important contribution to Iraqi Turkmen literature is stories. In addition his expression of national feelings in his poems has attracted attention. Additionally, it is also ascertained that Marufoğlu has made an effort in order to publish Turkish books for Iraqi Turkmen schools and to prepare course schedules. This literary study that is on the versatile literary character of Marufoğlu is brought to the attention of the science world.},author={Murtaza TUZLU},year={2016},journal={The Journal of Social Sciences}}
