Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of simultaneous prompting on teaching bowling skill to students with intellectual disabilities.in addition to generalization and maintenance effects of simultaneous prompting were investigated in the study.Multiple probe design with probe conditions a cross subjects was used to assess the effects of simultaneous prompting on teaching bowling skill. Three students (twomale, onefemale) participated in thestudy as subjects. There were probe, instruction,maintenance, and generalization sessions in the study. A single opportunity format was used to determine the performance level of the subjects.The findings of this study showed simultaneous prompting was effective on teaching bowling skill to students with intellectual disabilities. It is also an evident for showing that simultaneous prompting was effective on maintaining the acquired skill over 1, 3, and 4 weeks after training. Simultaneous prompting was effective on generalizing the acquired skill with three subjects with 100% accuracy.
