Abstract

In this research, it was aimed to determine middle school students‘ social engineering self-awareness and give training and information related to this issue. In the study, half of the experimental model of quantitative research methods were studied. It was conducted at 2015-2016 academic year, by 68 students in a public school. To observe the level of prior knowledge of the participants, preliminary test wasperformed and social engineering awareness training was given. Research data has created pre-test and post-test scores of students in academic achievement test. For analysis of data, frequency percent, independent groups T-test and an average scores were analyzed. The results showed that there is no significant difference between gender and pre-test success. But, there is significant difference between gender and post-test success. In this regard, female students are more successful than male students.
