Abstract

Traditionally defined as an expression of the ideas and experiences in a written form, text concept seems to expand its borders with the passing of the time. Nowadays, with the development of the tecnology not only written documents, but also a photo or a picture, which has a message, can be text. Moving from this idea films formed by displaying moving images are a text. Films as well as dialogue, in terms of inclusion audio-visiual and imaginative elements and in terms of transfer their subject and context with the multiple channels are a hypertext. Hypertexts are complex environments, which in addition to texts, alsa contain elements such as sound and video in which the message is sent via multiple channels. In the reception of the film texts as hypertext, audience must make visiual reading to understand information from different channels. This study approaches the film as a hypertext and investigates, in the example film ‘Willkommen in Deutschland’, the reception of the information that has been sent via different channels through the method of the visiual reading as well as translations.
