Abstract

360-degree performance evaluation method can be counted among single evaluations in classical performance evaluation methods in order to reduce the most possible mistakes, whereas different performance evaluation methods can be applied. 360-degree performance evaluation can be expressed as; The evaluation process of the performance in the direction of the feedback received from the whole environment that the employee interacts with in the work environment (from his / her directors, work friends, collegue’s, partners, customers, individual, husband or wife and family members). In this study; it’s aimed to specify and determined the attitudes of the employees whose performances have been evaluated with 360-degree performance evaluation. Then sub-dimensions, the employee’s; it is also focused to perform to the attitudes of 360-degree performance evaluations to the contributions to the institutional activities, attitudes towards their own individual developments, attitudes towards the contribution of human resources activities and attitudes regarding the quality of the feedback and the use of the feedback results. In the first part of this study; the definition of performance and performance evaluation concept and its historical development. In the second part; general information about 360-degree performance evaluation, in the third part of this study; there is a research on the working performances of the employees who have been evaluated with the 360-degree performance evaluation, have been researched to specify their attitudes about with this method.
