Abstract

In classical Turkish literature, verse and monumental works coexist together and poetical works are more predominant. This tendency, which is manzuma, causes the author to occasionally include poems within the works of the author. Osman Hayri Mursid Efendi, lived in the 19th century and Sultan II. Abdulhamid is an important person who has made Han's palace medicine. Kenzü's-Sıhhatü'l-Ebdaniyye Osman Hayri Mürşid Efendi, who is also the author of the book named Eser-i Mürşid-i Osmaniyye, is an important and reliable scientist in the field of medicine. This work is a very authoritarian, didactic work that reflects the medical understanding of the period in which it was written. Despite the fact that the work has a didactic narrative, the author interrupted the flow of the subject and added elements to his work. Some of them are quoted, and some of them are belonging to the author, and they are still in the field of medicine in terms of content and they contain some advice. The examination of the verse parts in the masterpieces is very important both in determining the proportions of the verse parts in the prose and in determining the relationship between all the text which is official and the meanings of these poems. In this study, it is aimed to examine the parts of verse in 19th century writer and poet Osman Hayri Mürşid Efendi's work named Kenzü's-Sıhhatü'l-Ebdâniyye Eser-i Mürşid-i Osmâniyye in terms of form and content.
