Abstract

The aim of this work is to try to make sense of Nazım Hikmet's poem entitled "Hasret-02" in the light of Psychoanalytic Theory. The study, which leaned towards a text-centered close study, can be interpreted as a re-interpretation essay that interprets this poem as a "dream text" or a "language trampling". Freud's concepts of " displacement" and "condensation", which Lacan claimed to be equivalent to the "metonymy" and "metaphor" of Jakobson, stating that the unconscious is constructed as a "language" are the principal elements used in the study. In the study, however, the "Hasret-02" poem was mainly interpreted according to Lacan's "mirror stage". When the explanations and evaluations made together are thought together, it can be said that this poetic matrix is to "object of mother's desire, to be 'fallus' and to get rid of the sacrifices that are likely to be faced in the future through 'the name of father', to recognize the 'father's name' law". However, this desire has been expressed in accordance with the norms of society and culture, it is almost "invisible" in poetry.
