INVESTIGATION OF NUTRITIONAL HABITS OF WORKING WOMEN IN COURTHOUSE

Abstract

This research was planned and carried out with the aim of determining the nutrition consumption frequency and nutrition attitudes of 185 women working in İstanbul Justice Palace, which occupation groups are classified as civil servants, lawyers and servants. It was determined that the working women consumed the most daily bread (71.7% in civil servants, 65.5% in lawyers and 68.0% in services) and vegetable oils (67.0%, 72.4%, H 58.0%). Whole grains (M% 28.3, A 37.9%, H 34.0%) and margarine (M 41.5%, A 48.3%, H 36.0%) are the leading foods that women do not consume at all. The ratio of consumers consuming hamburger per month is highest among civil servants (34.9%) and services (28.0%). Lawyers stated that they consumed hamburgers 2-3 times at the highest rate per week (24.1%). In all three groups, nuts were found to consume 2-3 times a week (M 33.0%, A 48.3%, H 36.0%). Sugar and jam consumption showed statistically significant differences according to groups of the courthouse workers (p <0,05).
