Abstract

Chaos Theory; is a theory based on determinism but differs from it, explains that it is an order in disorder and impossible to calculate everything in the world, even though the universe operates in a certain order. This theory thinks that irregularities are predictable causes. The theory, which is mostly used in the sciences, has an influence in the fields covering social sciences such as economics, sociology and psychology. Although it is perceived as "utter irregularity", what it contains is seriously different. Social phenomena such as language, religious culture, belief differences, traditions, customs cause a chaotic structure in international relations. Over time, these elements appear as complex forms of behavior. When the conflicts, demonstrations and disputes arising from democracy, freedom, human rights demands in Arab geography are observed, it is seen that they exhibit a chaotic structure. In this context; the first part of the article includes the etymology of chaos. In the second part, the interpretation of chaos and chaos theory in social sciences in the context of International Relations will be discussed. In the last part, the Arab Spring’s chaotic appearance will be evaluated in parallel with the descriptions.
