Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine comparatively the factors influencing tourists’ holiday purchasing decisions in the context of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. The research utilizes survey method and data from 308 participants in Istanbul City of Turkey and Bishkek City of Kyrgyzstan are used to test the research hypotheses. The collected data is analyzed by SPSS 20 software package through descriptive, frequency, factor analysis, reliability test, t-tests and anova analysis. The findings of research indicate that most of Turkish and Kyrgyz people have higher levels of price and quality while they prefer to holiday resort. The results show that there is no significant difference among the countries in terms of general perception about the factors affecting holiday purchase decisions. However, in terms of two sub-criteria, there is a significant difference among the countries. Moreover, the results reveal that there is a significant difference among travel frequency in order to perceptions of general factors affecting holiday purchase decisions.
