Abstract

The concept of gender is used to describe facts and details based on biological differences between the two sexes. The concept of cultural change in culture reveals that the distribution of roles and differences between men and women can vary in every society. Often the gender perception in society is due to biological difference. In terms of gender approaches, the dominance or role of one gender on the other affects cultural construction, shapes the roles played by men and women. According to this study, " The Song of Goşnağo" focuses on the gender perceptions and musical manifestations over the Circassian society with the changing and shaped sociocultural life which has migrated to the Anatolia from the Caucasus. In the study, with the qualitative research methods, structured interviewing, audio-visual recordings, written documents reached by literature search were used.
