Abstract

Migration is one of the most difficult things any society bears during its existence. It is an individual or massive move from one country to another due to economic, political or personal reasons. Wars, famine, poverty and political oppression, ethnic, cultural and religious confrontations, disasters (natural, environmental, social), discrimination (ethnic, religious, social) as well as difficulties of education, occupation and work are the main factors triggering migration. During the period of migration, both the migrating people and the society they immigrate to face many changes and challenges as cultural interaction (or cultural confrontation), change of language, adaptation to the new society, differences between ways of life and etc. This research presents the adaptation efforts and ways of life of Jews, who have one of the highest migration ratios among nations and have been passed through migration challenges to dozens of countries throughout the world.
