Abstract

Aim: This study was conducted to determine muscle fatigue after child and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation. METHOD: Cross-sectional and descriptive research was conducted between February and March 2018 for Kahramanmaraş Health Services Vocational School First and Emergency Program students. The data of the study were analyzed in the SPSS program in the computer environment. "Introductory information form" and "McGill Short Pain Scale" prepared by the researcher in accordance with the literature information were used from the persons who received written permission. Results: It was observed that 31.3% (n = 10) of the students participated in the survey, 68.8% of them were male students, 90.6% of them did not work and 53.1% (n = 17) had CPR experience. There was no significant correlation between CPR Application Time and Algometer 1 minute score (r = 0,252, p> 0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between KPR Application Time and Algometer 24 hour score (r = 0.456, p <0.01). Conclusion: It was concluded that the duration of CPR application had a meaningful effect on the 24 hour measurement of algometry.
