Abstract

Civil society and globalization constitute the two most important key words of the 21st century. The bipolar world comes to an end with the disintegration of the Soviet Union and the dissolution of the Eastern Bloc. This period of time globalization and civil society take action and until today it is the time zone in which it continues to be effective. The globalization process is becoming widespread in parallel with technological developments, causing many changes and changes in the field. The most important of these changes is the transformation that takes place on the concept of civil society. The reason why civil society is gaining global importance is that social problems are now starting to be seen at the global level rather than being local and regional. At finding a solution at these problems neither the state nor the inadequacy of the democracies they possess have brought civil society as a third factor. The search for solutions to these facilitates the organization of civil society in the international arena. Through these organizations, the concept beings to be debated under the name of global civil society. In this work, it will be explained how globalization has revived civil society which has entered a period of long silence and how it has made a new name and content as "global civil society" internationally. In addition, NGOs will try to find their way out of the global arena as global civil society actors by finding their place in the international arena under the influence of globalization.
