Abstract

Art Education is still a controversial concept in our country and in the world. Art and art education is an important science of our day and it is necessary. Art education in our country is given under the name of fine arts. Fine arts can be classified in various angles. In the traditional classification of materials used in the production of artworks, fine arts are examined under three main headings: visual (plastic) arts, auditory (phonetic) arts and dramatic (rhythmic) arts. The cinema, which is included in the dramatic arts, was initially regarded as a kind of simple entertainment. Today, however, it has become an important trade and industrial sector. The movies were silent as there was no technology to record sound and video together during the first days of the production. After the sound and image were used together, the cinema transformed from a fun to a versatile narrative instrument. Cinema is a tool of narration that is unique. Images and sounds are elements of his language. Cinematography in our country started in the middle of the 1970s and took its place in academic education as one of the departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Communication until the daylight. The cinema, a new art form, is considered as a science in the Faculty of Communication and as an art form in the Faculty of Fine Arts. The aim of this study using the literature: by addressing the Cinema and Television Education in Turkey, to discuss what can be done for the recognition of cinema as an art space and make suggestions. The new researches on this field will increase the quality of cinema television education given in the Faculty of Fine Arts in the long term.
