Abstract

The discovery of Wilhelm Schott in 1841 revealed that Chuvash was a dialect of Turkish. With this invention, Turkology studies have gained a different momentum through Chuvash. And the important data about the language of Western Turkishness in the Middle Ages, thus obtained the unique heir of today's. In later studies, we are not aware of some of the typological features that Turkish may have in common with other languages, and we prefer to stay at a certain distance due to certain reservations. While sharing a significant portion of these reservations, it seems that at some points it will not be possible to make any distances without mentioning these typological features. Nevertheless, we can say that it is possible to be clarified by staying within the boundaries of historical Turkish dialects. In this study, we believe that we can find traces of a feature that we can see in Chuvash, in Kutadgu Bilig. So with this study, it will be tried to bring a different point of view by using the old Turkish inscriptions and Kutadgu Bilig.
