This research have been applied to 40 voluntary students, 21 of whom were ballerinas and the other 19 were ballet dancers of Istanbul University State Conservatory Ballet Department. The types of injuries that students encounter in their exercises and reasons for these injuries are tried to be put forward. Ages of ballerinas and ballet dancers differed from 14 to 21. There were 25 questions directed to students about the injuries they encounter in their exercises and the responses were recorded. The raw data obtained in the questionnaire are given with cross tables in terms of frequency (f) and percentages (%) according to the genders. It was determined that 77.50% of ballerinas and ballet dancers had injuries, most types of which were sprains, open wounds and foot deformities and these injuries mostly occurred in the lower extremity and in allegro movement forms. It was observed that the reasons for injuries were insufficient warming up, inadequate sports hall temperature and inappropriate sports hall floor.
