Abstract

Konya has been an important settlement throughout history. The survival of many different cultures led to a rich culinary culture. The dishes made on special days celebrated by the society always occupied an important place in the culinary culture of Konya. The aim of this study is to gather face to face interviews with people over a certain age in Konya and to collect and record information about the culinary culture. As a result of the study, it was found that the participants gave great importance to the culinary culture in terms of being a family and socializing. In addition, a significant number of the participants reported that the custom made in the special days could not be alive today and they started to change. It was also reported by the participants that the dishes made in the past have changed.
