Abstract

This study is based on relation art-play and artwork-toy relationship which it feeds on each other and also from the points they fall apart. In this way, this article provides a common area proposal under the name of play and toy workshop in art education institutions. Although it is thought that education is a serious area and the play is far from serious and difficult to define, such a field is proposed by approaching the subject from the point of view of creativity, experimentation and aesthetics in art education. The main goal is to point out that in the future, the Faculties of Fine Arts can create a Play and Toy Design Department, such as the existing departments. When we look at the game and toy design workshop for the departments of fine art faculties and their students, the results will be excaiting. For example; The approach of the students of the Department of Interior Design for the design of the track games we see in the media or the approach of the students of the Sculpture department to the superhero toys ... In order to realize such a proposal, a common approach should be developed in art education institutions. And this approach should be based on the similarities and differences between art, play, artwork, toy, artist, and player subjects.
