Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to introduce some features of İstanbul while teaching Turkish as a foreign language. Plans of the lessons which were conducted by the researchers voluntarily at a centre were prepared according to language and culture level of the students and including four language skills. İstanbul as a city of Culture Model include seven lesson plans prepared under seven different topics. A questionnaire created by the researchers was used in order to learn students’ culture, language background and demographic information about them. The paper shares the results of gathered data and a sample in the model.
