Abstract

The Qur'an is composed of sounds such as every conversation that people use. One of the communication tools chosen by Allah (c. c.) to communicate with the human beings is the word ’kalam c. (Bacara 2/253; Nisâ, 4/164; Şûrâ, 42/51). Grammar rules and punctuation are important for a word to be understood, for everyone to have the same message in their mind. Holy Quran in the message given to the correct understanding of Almighty people, properly and clearly with the order to openly, giving the right, the foundation for the reading of the waqf and ibtidâ is very important. The science of the Waqf and İbtidâ has an important role to play the correct meaning. The waqf is to stop, and ibtidâ means to start. In order to begin reading again in the conquest of the Tecvîd, it is enough to interrupt the sound. At the end of the waqf, or in the middle of the end of the word, the integrity of the word, where the words and words is complete, is done in silence.
