This study used a mixed methods research design and surveyed 23 divorced women and men who have children and different educational backgrounds. 60.8% of the respondents reported getting divorced due to conflicts and mistrust, 26% due to cheating, and 13% due to habits such as alcoholism and gambling. 86.9% of the respondents stated that ‘divorce was the right choice’, while 13% ‘wished that they had not divorced’ and reported ‘missing their old way of life’. 78.2 reported that they had to remain separate from their children and faced financial and spiritual challenges, while 21.7% stated that they face no difficulty.
