Memleket Hikâyeleri and Gurbet Hikâyeleri belonging to the author have been accepted as the best examples of Maupassant style storytelling in Turkish literature. In this study, Refik Halit Karay 's books named Memleket Hikâyeleri and Gurbet Hikâyeleri have been evaluated in terms of their contributions to Turkish Dictionary. Within the scope of the study, the words used by the author in these stories but could not get into the Turkish Dictionary, and the sentences that are appropriate to some headwords which are not embodied with examples although they are included in the Dictionary are examined.
