Abstract

The reason of this research is to examine the differentiation of Job Stress on socio-demographic variables. Universe of this research is consist of 206 employees who works at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Human Resources Head of Department, Corporate Development and Management Systems Head of Department, and Cultural Affairs Head of Department as worker, officer, contracted statuses. For workgroup convenient sampling model has been chosen. During the research the data was gathered by survey method. Responses of 206 participants were analyzed with descriptive statistics, correlation and difference tests done by SPSS 21 application. Because the data shows normal distribution, parametrical tests were used in all analyses. As a result of the analyses, from socio-demographic variables, only gender has a differentiation on job stress points which is found as statistically meaningful. Job Stress points of women are meaningfully higher than points of men. From this result one can be said that gender is a factor which differentiate the job stress.
