PUPPET IN TURKISH CULTURE AND IN THE WORLD

Abstract

In this work, the efficiency of teaching is aimed to test through working facilities made with puppet texts which are thought to be more effective than facilities in the present program. The study made is a quasi-experimental study with this aspect. The method used in this study is experimental study with pretest-posttest control group. The study is applied on 8th grade students. The sample of study is 8th grade students of Hasan Tahsin Fendoğlu Secondary school of Battalgazi town. In the study to collect data, “Elements of Sentence Success Test” and “Turkish Lesson Attitude Scale” are used. For analysis of the data collected, SPSS 23 program is used. For measuring success and attitude between experimental group and control group “t-test”, for determining female and male students’ state before and after education “Paired Sample t-test” is used. At the end of the study, a meaningful difference occurs in the success and attitudes of experimental group students. Concerning the level of persistancy, although a difference occurs in favor experimental group it is not a meaningful one.
