The aim of the research is to evaluate the opinions of the classroom teachers about the book reading project being implemented throughout Bartın province. The study group of the research consists of 50 classroom teachers working in primary school in Bartın city center. Descriptive model, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. As the data collection tool, a semi-structured interview form consisting of 4 items was prepared by the researcher. Expert opinion was taken in the preparation of the semi-structured interview form. The data were evaluated according to the content analysis method. In the analysis of the data, percent of the statistical processes were used. As a result of the research; 60% of classroom teachers did not find it appropriate to hold the book reading activity in the first lesson time, 86% did not consider it necessary to take the number of pages they read from the students after the book reading activity, and 88% of the book reading activity combined with the lesson time was 60 minutes. It was determined that they thought it negatively affected the yield. In addition, it was found that 70% of the classroom teachers declared that the book reading activity gained the student the habit of reading.
