Abstract
With reference to the First Critique of Kant, the aim of this article is to examine the problem of contemporary democracy. In his First Critique Kant makes an analytical critique of metaphysics and epistemology and employs a set of political and juridical concepts and terms in this critique. In this point, the First Critique acquires a political dimension and includes a sketch of political communication. Via the political dimension is indeed proposed by Kant a milky way between anarchism and despotism. The way provides the rational basis for pluralistic democracy in the context of public criticism and inter-subjective communication.

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Kant’ın Birinci Kritik’inden hareketle çağdaş demokrasi problemini incelemektir. Birinci Kritik’inde Kant analitik düzlemde bir metafizik ve epistemoloji eleştirisi yapar ve bu eleştirisinde bazı politik ve hukuksal kavram ve terimler kullanır. Bu noktada Birinci Kritik politik bir boyut kazanır ve bir politik iletişim taslağı içerir. Bu politik boyut üzerinden Kant aslında anarşizm ve despotizm arasında üçüncü bir yol önerir. Bu yol kamusal eleştiri ve özneler arası iletişim bağlamında çoğulcu demokrasiye rasyonel temeller sağlar.
