Abstract
Bugün gerek Türkiye'deki, gerekse Ortadoğu'daki siyasal İslamcı hareket ve iktidarların Batı tipi liberal demokrasiyle beraber ve kurallar içinde yaşayıp yaşayamayacağı günümüzün öne çıkan sorularından. Bu sorunun cevabı ise ancak İslamcı toplumsal grup ve hareketlerin tarihsel düşünce sistematiğini ve onları baskın bir güç haline getiren ilişkiler ağının incelenmesi ile olabilir. Tam da bu sebepten, bu çalışmada üç ayrı bölümde, İslam'ın devlet mefhumuna bakışı, siyasal olarak İslamcıların dünyada özellikle Ortadoğu coğrafyasında yükselişleri ve son olarak da Türkiye'deki maceraları ele alınıyor. Sonucun ise gelecek açısından pek pozitif olmadığı ileri sürülüyor.

Abstract
Whether Islamic movements and governments in the world can exist and live side by side with Western oriented liberal democracy these days is an ongoing problematic. This controversy can be only explained by focusing on the thought patterns and social relationships that made the Islamic groups as dominant power in their respective societies. Hence, in this essay, through its three parts-conceptualization of State in Islam, Islamic movements’ rise to dominance especially in the Middle East and their adventures in Turkey- those social relationships are questioned and evaluated. But the conclusions are not very optimistic for the near future of these lands.
