Abstract
Bu çalışma; Hitit Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu 2015 özel yetenek sınavına katılan adayların Hitit BESYO özel yetenek sınavını tercih etme nedenlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Sınavlara katılan 285 adaya (210’u erkek ve 75’i kadın) “Neden Hitit BESYO özel yetenek sınavını tercih ettiniz?” şeklinde soru sorulmuştur. Adayların Hitit BESYO özel yetenek sınavını tercih etmelerinde ki en fazla etkili olan sebepler istenmiştir. Verilen cevaplar ölçek formuna araştırmacı tarafından kayıt edilmiştir. Benzer cevaplar içerisinde etkili olan faktörler birleştirilerek tek faktör altında toplanmıştır. Verilen cevaplar istatistik programına girilerek alınan cevapların yüzdelik oranları belirlenmiştir. Sınava katılan erkek adayların %21’i yaşadığım bölgeye yakın olması, %17’si sınav şartları ve %10’u spor branş sınavının olmasından dolayı tercih ettiklerini belirtmişlerdir. Kadın adayların %24’ü yaşadığım bölgeye yakın olması, %15’i sınav şartları ve %13’ü koşu ön elemesi olmasından dolayı tercih ettiklerini belirtmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak erkek ve kadın adayların her ikisi de yaşadığım bölgeye yakın olması ve sınav şartları tercih nedenleri arasında en fazla yüzdelik orana sahiptir. Erkek adaylar spor branş sınavının olmasını en yüksek oranda tercih ederlerken, kadın adaylar koşu ön eleme sınavının olmasını en yüksek oranda tercih etmişlerdir.

Abstract
This study; Hitit University School of Physical Education and Sports has been made of the candidates who participated in the 2015 special ability test to determine their reasons for preferring the Hitit PES special ability exam. 285 candidates participated in the exams (210 male and 75 female) "Why did you choose the Hitit PES special ability exam?" as questions were asked. The candidates were requested for causing the biggest impact on the preference of the Hitit PES special ability. The answers given were recorded by researchers in the form of scale. The effective factors in similar answers are combined under a single factor. The answer given was entered in the statistics program and was designated percentages of the responses received. The candidates of male participants were stated that 21% to be close to hometown, 17% examination requirement and 10% of the participant was preferred because of the sport branch examination. The candidates of female participants were stated that 24% to be close to hometown, 15% examination requirement and 13% of the participant was preferred because of the running pre-selection examination. As a result, among the causes of male and female both candidates have been preferred to be close to hometown and examination requirement with the highest percentage rate. The highest percentages of male candidates while they prefer to be the sport branch exam, the highest percentage of female candidates have chosen to be the running pre-selection exam.
