Abstract
Gurbet kavramı yalnızca memleketinden uzakta kalmanın yarattığı çeşitli ruh hallerinden doğan garipliğe karşılık gelmez. Gurbet, en temel anlamda mekânsal bir yer değiştirme sürecidir. Belli başlı nedenlerle başlayan bu süreç, gurbet ve sıla döngüsü içerisinde hareket eder. Döngü, gurbete çıkma nedeni, kararı, hazırlık evresi, gurbet yolculuğu, gurbet, sıla ve geride kalanların yaşadıkları psikolojik hallerden meydana gelir. Mevlüt Süleymanlı’nın üç bölümden oluşan ve art zamanlı olarak kurulan Göç adlı romanında da yüzyıllar önce atalar yurdundan doğuya göç eden Karakelle boyunun ata topraklarına dönmek için batıya doğru yaptıkları göç serüveni anlatılmaktadır. Bu makalede de yaşanan göçün gurbet sürecinde nasıl ele alındığı, göçün birey üzerinde yarattığı etkiler tespit edilerek değerlendirilecektir.
