Abstract
Kutsal metinlerin çevirisi konusunda hakim düşünce ve çeviri yaklaşımı sözcüğü sözcüğüne bir çeviri yapılması yönündedir. Çeviri konusunda esas olan kaynak dildeki metnin doğru çözümlenmesi ve amaç dile anlam kaybına uğramadan aktarılmasıdır. Anlam ve çeviri üzerine etki eden faktörlerin çeşitliliği göz önüne alındığında kutsal metinlerin çevirisi konusunda var olan hakim çeviri yaklaşımın etkinlik, güvenirilik ve işlevselliği tartışmaya açıktır. Bu çalışma kapsamında kutsal metinlerin çeviri konusu Kur'an-ı Kerim üzerinden ele alıncaktır. Çalışmanın amacı kutsal metinlerin çevirisi konusunda metin türü ve bağlamına dikkat çekerek çeviri konusunda kültürler arası farklılıkların göz ardı edilmememesinin önemine vurgu yapmaktır. Bu yapılmadığı zaman bazı dilsel yanılgılara düşmek ve çeviri hatalarına sürüklenmenin kaçınılmaz olacağını düşüncesini dile getirmektir.

Abstract
The prevailing thought in the translation of scriptures is based on the translation of word for word. The essential about translation is that the source text must be analyzed correctly and the purpose context must be transferred to the target language without loss of meaning. Considering the diversity of the factors affecting meaning and translation, the efficiency, reliability, and functionality of the dominant translation approach that exists in the translation of sacred texts is open to debate. In this work, the translation of the sacred texts will be discussed through the Qur'an. The aim of this study is to emphasize to the importance of not to be ignored differences between cultures in the translation by drawing attention to the type and context of the text in the translation of the sacred texts. If this process is ignored, it should be said that it is inevitable to fall into some linguistic misconceptions and to misinterpret translation.
