Abstract
Bu makale, Türkiye’de merkezden uzak, periferide yer alan, çağdaş ve yerel sanatı bağdaştıran ve 2014 Avrupa Konseyi ödüllü Baksı Müzesi üzerine yazıldı. Müze, modern ve gelenekselin bir arada sergilendiği sanat koleksiyonunun yanı sıra zanaat atölyelerini de bünyesinde barındırır. Bu değerlendirmede sanat akımı kapsamında Baksı Müzesi’nin Duchamp’ın postmodernizm yaklaşımları ile örtüşen unsurları dikkate alındı. Makalede Baksı Müzesi ve müze faaliyetleri Fransız sosyolog Pierre Bourdieu’nun ortaya attığı kuramlar çerçevesinde incelendi. Müzenin dokuma ve boyama atölyelerinin yöre halkı ekonomisine yaptığı katkı, Bourdieu’nün “Alan ve Sermaye” kuramı için iyi bir örnek oluşturken çevre halkına sağladığı ekonomik ve kültürel yarar ile de Bourdieu’nün Habitus kuramı ile uyum gözlendi. Bu çalışmada Baksı Müzesi’nin sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel alanlara yaptığı özgün katkılar bu akımlar çerçevesinde değerlendirilerek açıklanacaktır.

Abstract
Baksı Museum is a contemporary and traditional art and culture institution placed at the periphery far from the center, which was awarded the European Parliament Assembly Museum of the Year Award in 2014. The museum is founded and located in 2010 in Coruh Valley in Northeastern Anatolia. In this paper, the museum and the adjacent ateliers are examined in the context of the theories of French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. The museum has workshop areas contributing to the regional economy besides exhibiting contemporary and traditional artwork. Traditional coloring and weaving of the textile ‘ehram’ takes place at the craft center of the museum. This production supports the social life and economy in the vicinity of the Museum, which is in context with Bourdieu’s theory of four fields; economic, social, cultural and eluvial capital. This paper examines the role of Baksı Museum in the regional economy and reveals that the museum’s contribution is remarkable in terms of social, economic, and cultural domains.
