Abstract
Küreselleşen dünyada ve yoğun rekabet ortamında örgütlerin hayatta kalabilmeleri ve yöneticilerin örgüt kaynaklarını verimli kullanmaları beklenmektedir. Örgütün geleceğine yönelik etkin ve uygulanabilir planların oluşturulması ve uygulanması için yöneticilerin zamanı etkin yönetmeleri, zamanı etkin kullanmanın önündeki engellerden olan zaman tuzaklarına yakalanmamaları ve zaman planlama tekniklerini etkili olarak kullanabilmeleri gerekmektedir (Şahin, 2015). Perakende sektörünün; doğru işi, doğru zamanda ve en kısa sürede sunarak yapması en başta gelen sorumluluklarından biridir. Ayrıca perakende sektörünün temel amacının nihai tüketiciye zamanında satış yapmak olmasından dolayı, çalışmada bu sektör tercih edilmiştir (Uğuz, 2015). Bu nedenle zaman yönetimi konusu ile ilişkilendirilerek hem bu sektörün önemi vurgulanmak istenilmiş, hem de iki konu arasındaki korelasyonun güçlülüğü ortaya koyulmuştur.

Abstract
It is expected that the organizations will survive and the managers will use the resources of the organization effectively in the globalizing world and intense competition environment. Managers are supposed to manage time efficiently, not to be captured by time traps that hinder them from using the time effectively and to use time scheduling techniques efficiently for the creation and implementation of effective and applicable plans for the future of the organization (Şahin, 2015). Doing the right work at the right time and in the shortest time is one of the most important responsibilities of Retail Sector. In addition, this sector has been preferred in the study as the main purpose of the Retail Sector is to make sales to the final consumer in time (Uğuz, 2015). For this reason, both the importance of this sector has been demanded to emphasize and the strength of the correlation between these two subjects has been revealed by being associated with the issue of time management.
