Abstract
Bir bilim dalını karakterize eden dayandığı temel kabullerdir. Her bilimsel disiplinin yöntemi dayandığı ontolojik ve epistemolojik kabullere göre farklılaşmaktadır. Bu noktadan hareketle bu çalışmada amaç; niceliksel ve niteliksel araştırma yöntemlerine temel oluşturan paradigmalar ve tarihsel süreçte paradigmalarda yaşanan değişim ve dönüşümleri ele almaktır. Bu amaçla, pozitivist paradigma ile yorumlayıcı paradigmaların tarihsel kökenleri, temel ilkeleri, bazı temsilcilerinin görüşleri ve dayandıkları ontolojik, epistemolojik ve nihayet metodolojik ön kabullerinin neler olduğuna değinilmiştir. Ayrıca paradigma dönüşümünün sosyoloji bilimine etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract
One of the main assumptions on which the branch of science is based. The method of scientific discipline differs according to the ontolojical and epistemological assumptions on which it is based. From this point of view, this study aims; the aim of this course is to examine to paradigms and paradigs underliying the quantitative and qualitative resarch methods. For his purpose, historical origions, basic principles, opinions of some of the representative and the ontolojical, epistemolojical and finally methodolojical assumption of the interpretive paradigms with the pozitivist paradigms on which they are based have been mentioned. In addition, the effects of paradigm transformation on sociology science are emphazed.
