Abstract
Tarihin her döneminde önemli bir kara parçası olan Kıbrıs adası üzerindeki hakimiyet mücadelesi, soğuk savaş sonrası dönemde şekil değiştirerek söylemler üzerinden oluşturulan yeni mekân ve kimlik temsilleri ve tasavvurlarla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Silahların ikinci plana alındığı söylemlerin ön planda tutulduğu bir dünya düzeninde, iktidar sağlayabilmek için söyleme hakim olmanın gerektiği açıkça ortadadır. Türkiye, Kıbrıs cumhuriyeti ve Yunanistan arasındaki Kıbrıs’ın hakimiyeti sorunu ve akabinde gelen Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı da silahların yanında söylemlerin mücadele ettiği bir savaştır. Türkiye ve Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti, Yunanistan’a karşı geliştirdikleri söylem üstünlüğü ile amaçlarına ulaşmış ve Kıbrıs’ın ENOSİS düşüncesi ile Yunanistan’a bağlanmasının önüne geçmiştir. Bu söylemlerin oluşumu, söylemler yoluyla inşa edilen mekân ve kimlik temsilleri ve sonuçta oluşan jeopolitik tasavvur ise eleştirel jeopolitiğin temel konularındandır. Bu çalışma eleştirel jeopolitik açıdan Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı’nın söylemler yoluyla nasıl hazırlandığını ve oluşan mekân ve kimlik temsillerinin nasıl bir jeopolitik tasavvur oluşturduğunu analiz etmeye çalışmaktadır.

Abstract
The struggle for domination on the island of Cyprus, which is an important land piece in every period of history, was carried out by changing the shape in the post-cold war period, with new spaces and identity representations and imaginations created through discourses. In a world order that includes discourse emphasis that takes weapons to the second plan, it is clear that directing discourse is necessary in order to gain power. The Cyprus Peace Operation which followed the issue of dominating the Cyprus which is among Turkey, Cyprus, and Greece, was a war in which discourses struggled alongside weapons. Turkey and Cyprus, by virtue of which they developed a discourse against Greece, have achieved their aims and by not allowing the spread of ENOSIS ideas in Cyprus, they prevented the risk of the inclusion of Cyprus to Greece. The formation of these discourses, the place and identity representations that were constructed through discourses and the resulting geopolitical conception are among the main topics of critical geopolitics. This study aimed to reveal the analysis of how the Cyprus Peace Operation was prepared through discourses in terms of critical geopolitics and what geopolitical imagery of the place and identity representations formed.
