Abstract
Bu çalışmada; Ortaçağ’dan bu yana çeşitli çalgılarda müzik yazısı olarak kullanılan tablatürün gitardaki uygulaması incelenmiştir. Çalgıların fiziksel yapısı ve çalım biçimine bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan tablatür yazıları, sesin çalgı üzerinde çıkarılacağı yeri gösteren, müzik ve çalgı arasında dolaysız bağıntı kuran bir yöntemdir. Telli çalgılarda müzik cümlesini oluşturan seslerin çalınabilmesi için, parmakların hangi telleri çekeceğini, klavye üzerinde hangi perdelere basılacağını şema veya tablolar aracılığıyla gösteren tablatür yazıları diğer müzik yazıları gibi müzik parçasını kayıt altına alarak unutulmamasını ve sonraki kuşaklara aktarılmasını sağlamış olur. Ortaya çıktığı zamandan günümüze tablatür yazılarını diğer yazılardan ayırıp vazgeçilmez kılan ise müziğin üretilmesi için çalgının nasıl kullanılması gerektiğini gösteren kılavuz niteliğidir. Bu araştırmada, gitarda kullanılan tablatür sisteminin tarihsel süreçteki gelişimi ele alınmış, gitarın atası kabul edilen lavta için yazılan tablatür yazılarından başlayarak günümüze kadar gitardaki uygulamaları incelenmiştir.

Abstract
In this study, the application of tablature, used as music-writing for various instruments since the Middle Ages, has been examined in regard to the guitar. Tabulature writings that emerged depending on the physical structure of the instruments and the playing style constitute a method that indicates the place where the sound will be produced on the instrument and establishes an immediate relation between the music and the instrument. In order to play the sounds that make up the musical sentence on a string instrument, tabulaturewritings, which show which strings the fingers will pull and which frets will be pressed on the keyboard by means of diagrams and tables, ensure that the piece of music is not forgotten and transferred to the next generations by recording it like other music writings. What distinguishes tabulature writings from other writings and makes them indispensable since their emergence is their being a guide that shows how the instrument should be used for the production of music. In this research, the historical development of the tablature system used for the guitar has been discussed and the applications of tablature for the guitar starting from the tabulature writings written for the lute, which is accepted as the ancestor of the guitar, have been examined.
