Abstract
Evliya Çelebi’nin 17. yüzyıl Osmanlı coğrafyası ve mücavir ülkelere yaptığı yaklaşık elli yıl süren gezilerini kaleme aldığı Seyahatname’si, kültür tarihimiz açısında da çok önemli bir kaynak eserdir. Eserde o döneme ait sadece maddi unsurlara değil, aynı zamanda pek çok değişik toplumun kültürel özelliklerine dair bilgilere de ulaşmaktayız. Eser sosyolojik, antropolojik, dini, edebi, tarihi, psikolojik, folklorik, filolojik, coğrafi, askeri vb. pek çok yönden bilgiler içermektedir. Bu bilgiler, sadece bizim toplumumuzla ilgili olmayıp diğer pek çok toplumlarla ilgili de ayrıntılar içermektedir. Bugüne kadar yerli ve yabancı pek çok araştırmacı Evliya Çelebi’nin bu önemli eseri üzerinde inceleme ve araştırmalar yapmıştır. Eserin çok farklı yönlerden bilgiler içermesi onun en önemli taraflarından birini oluşturmaktadır. Eserinde Evliya Çelebi’nin Türk, Türkmen, Türkçe, Etrâk, Türkân gibi kelimelere sık sık başvurduğu görülmektedir. Türk kelimesi ve kavramı ile ilgili bugün de değişik görüşler ileri sürülmektedir. Bugünkü görüşlere ve düşüncelere katkı sağlaması bakımından, her ne kadar yakın bir geçmişte de olsa, Evliya Çelebi’nin bu kelimeleri hangi bağlamlarla kullandığı önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmada bunlar, örneklerle tespit edilip ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

Seyahatname, written by Evliya Çelebi in the 17th century to the Ottoman geography and adjacent countries, is a very important source of work in terms of our cultural history. In the work, we reach not only the material elements of that period, but also information on the cultural characteristics of many different societies. The work is sociological, anthropological, religious, literary, historical, psychological, folkloric, philological, geographical, military, etc. It contains information in many ways. This information is not only related to our society, but also contains details about many other societies. Many local and foreign researchers have conducted investigations and researches on this important work of Evliya Çelebi. One of the most important aspects of the work is that it contains information from many different aspects. It can be seen that Evliya Çelebi frequently refers to words such as Turkish, Turkmen, Turkish, Etrak and Türkân. Various opinions about the Turkish word and concept are still being proposed. In terms of contributing to today's views and thoughts, it is important in what context Evliya Çelebi used these words, even in the recent past. In the study, these are tried to be determined and revealed with examples.
