Abstract
Toplumun bilgi ve habere ulaşmasında önemli bir rol oynayan gazeteler basın yayın dünyasının en önemli ögelerinden biridir. Yerel gazeteler ise belli bir bölgede yaşayan insanların o bölge ile ilgili gelişmelere ve haberlere erişiminde temel kaynaklardır. Bu gazetelerde kullanılan metinler, dilsel çerçevede incelenebilecek unsurlar içermektedir. Bu çalışmada yerel olarak yayınlanan Erzurum Gazetesi’nin bir sayısı içerdiği söz varlığı unsurlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla incelenmiştir. Nitel veri toplama yöntemlerinden doküman analizinin kullanıldığı çalışmada gazetede bulunan atasözü, deyim, ikileme, terim gibi söz varlığı unsurları tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucu gazetenin temel söz varlığı bakımından zengin ancak diğer söz varlığı unsurları açısından zayıf olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
Newspapers, which play an important role in public access to information and news, are one of the most important elements of the press world. Local newspapers, on the other hand, are the main sources for people living in a certain region to access developments and news about that region. The texts used in these newspapers contain elements that can be examined linguistically. In this study, an issue of the locally published Erzurum Newspaper has been examined in order to determine its vocabulary elements. In the study, in which document analysis, one of the qualitative data collection methods, was used, vocabulary elements such as proverbs, idioms, reduplications and terms in the newspaper were determined. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that the newspaper is rich in basic vocabulary but weak in terms of other vocabulary elements.
