Abstract
Türk toplumunun kültürel unsurlarının en önemlilerinden birisi de âşık edebiyatıdır. Âşık edebiyatı yüzyıllar öncesinden şaman-kam geleneğinden günümüze kadar uzanan bir köprüdür. 15.yüzyıldan itibaren Anadolu’da âşık adı verilen şairler görülmeye başlamış ve bu âşıklar toplumun içinden çıkmış, toplumun duygularını anlatan şiirler yazmaya/söylemeye başlamışlardır. Âşıklar bu yönleriyle de kültürün en önemli taşıyıcılarından birisi olmuştur. Âşık edebiyatı Anadolu’da 16.yy’dan itibaren yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır. Bu dönemden itibaren bu edebi anlayış Anadolu’nun her köşesine yayılmış, âşıklar halkın gönlünden geçen, dilinin konuşamadığını sazıyla, sözüyle dile getirmiş ve bu gelenek gittikçe yaygınlaşmış ve günümüze ulaşmıştır. Bu çalışmanın konusu olan Sivas’ın yetiştirdiği tanınmamış âşıklardan birisi olan Âşık Berranî’dir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Âşık Berranî’yi tanıtmak ve âşığın âşık edebiyatı içerisindeki yerini belirlemektir.

Abstract
One of the most important cultural elements of Turkish society is minstrel literature. Minstrel literature is a bridge stretching from the shaman-kam tradition from centuries ago to the present day.From the 15th century onwards, poets called minstrels began to be seen in Anatolia and these minstrels came out of the society and began to write/sing poems describing the feelings of the society. With these aspects, the minstrels have become one of the most important carriers of culture. Minstrel literature began to spread in Anatolia from the 16th century. Since this period, this literary understanding has spread to every corner of Anatolia, the minstrels have expressed the people's heart, that their language cannot speak, with their instruments and words, and this tradition has become more and more widespread and has reached the present day.The subject of this study is Minstrel Berranî, one of the unknown minstrels raised by Sivas. The aim of this study is to introduce Minstrel Berranî and to determine the place of minstrel in minstrel literature.
