Abstract
Halit Ziya’nın Nemide adlı romanı hem İzmir döneminin hem de Serveti Fünun dönemi romanının karakteristik özelliklerini taşımaktadır. Mekân, kişilerin davranışları, yazarın üslubu ve dili Edebiyatı Cedide neslinin anlayışını temsil etmektedir. Zengin bir mekanda geçen romanın kahramanların sıradan insanlardan farklı zevk ve hobileri bulunmaktadır. Mekân, köşk, yalı ve konaktır. Olay örgüsünün geçtiği konağın on iki odası bulunmaktadır. Konakta yaşayanlar yüksek zümreye mensup kişilerdir. Hiçbir kahramanın maişet derdi bulunmamaktadır. Halit Ziya, münevver bir sınıfın romancısı olduğundan kahramanları tahsil gören eğitimli kişilerdir. Nemide’nin babası yerli ve yabancı basını takip eden biridir. Nemide, tipik bir Edebiyatı Cedide dönemi roman kahramanı olup santimantal bir genç kızdır. Yetişkin bir genç olmasına rağmen ailenin gelir ve giderinden bihaberdir. Mai gözleri ve sarı saçlarıyla Halit Ziya’nın hemen hemen bütün romanlarında hayalini kurduğu fiziksel özelliklere sahip bir kızdır. Zayıf vücudu, pasif ve silik kişiliği ile etkin değildir. Roman bir aşk üçgeni üzerinde kurulmuştur. Annesiz büyüyen Nemide, bu üçgenin en zayıf halkasını temsil etmektedir. Eserde mutsuz ve parçalanmış aile tabloları mevcuttur. Natüralist cereyanının yansıması olarak ırsıyet vurgusu yer almaktadır. İkizli üçüzlü terkiplerin sık sık kullanıldığı romanın dilinde yer yer Fransızcanın tesiri görülmektedir. Çalışmada Nemide romanında Serveti Fünun üslubunun yansımaları mekan, kişi, üslup gibi düzlemlerde tahlil edilmiştir.

Abstract
Halit Ziya’s Nemide has the characteristic features of the novel written during the İzmir and Servet-i Fünun period. Space, the human behavior, the style, and language of the author stand for the understanding of the Edebiyat-ı Cedide generation. The novel's protagonists, set in a substantial space, have different tastes and hobbies which are quite opposite of ordinary people in terms of way of life. Spaces such as mansions, seaside residences, and villas are the places where thought and literary creativity are promoted. Those who live in the mansion are regarded as members of the vanity fair. None of the protagonists struggles to make a living. Since Halit Ziya is a highbrowed novelist, his protagonists are well-educated people. Nemide’s father is a person who follows the local and foreign press. Nemide as a typical heroine represents the novel characteristics of the Edebiyat-ı Cedide period and is a sentimental young girl. Although she is an adult woman, she is oblivious to the family's income and expenses. With her blue eyes and blond hair, Nemide is a girl who possesses the physical features that Halit Ziya dreams about in almost all of his novels. She is an inactive character with her weak body and passive and insignificant personality. The novel is built on a love triangle. Nemide, who grew up unmothered, represents the weakest link in the triangle. An unhappy and fragmented family portrait is available in the novel. There is an emphasis on heredity as a reflection of naturalism. Double and triple noun phrases are generally used in the work in terms of the language and the influence of French can be observed. In this study, the reflections of the Servet-i Fünun’s style in Nemide were analyzed in terms of space, characters, language and style.
