Abstract
Fransız Devriminden önce Avrupa’nın genelinde siyasi yapı olarak mutlak monarşinin etkinliği kendini çok etkin bir şekilde gösteriyordu. Monarşinin getirdiği siyasi baskı sonrasında toplum da kutuplaşmalara neden olmuştu. Bu toplumsal kutuplaşmalar ülke birliğini olumsuz etkilemekteydi. Fransız monarşi yönetiminin uyguladığı ağır ekonomik sorunların çözümünde vergilerin aşırı bir şekilde arttırılması Fransız toplumunun kendi yönetimine karşı cephe oluşturdu. Halkın yönetime olan bu siyasi cephe, devrimin oluşmasına neden oldu. Devrimle birlikte ulusçuluk akımı varlığını arttırma imkânını elde etti. Milliyetçilik akımı, çok uluslu devletleri etkilediği gibi Osmanlı Devleti’ni de olumsuz etkiledi. Osmanlı Devleti, devrimin getirdiği bu olumsuz durum karşısında içinde bulunduğu; siyasi, ekonomik ve askeri faktörlerden dolayı azınlıkların çıkardığı isyanlara yetersiz kaldı. Bu çalışmamız da Fransız Devrimi sonrasında artan milliyetçilik akımının Osmanlı Devleti’nde meydana gelen olumsuzluklar üzerinde durulmaya çalışıldı. Ayrıca bu olumsuzlukların hangi siyasi olaylara neden olduğuna da değinildi.

Abstract
Before the French Revolution, the effectiveness of the absolute monarchy as the political structure in Europe was manifested very effectively. After the political pressure brought by the monarchy, the society also caused polarization. These social polarizations adversely affected the unity of the country. The excessive increase in taxes in the solution of the severe economic problems implemented by the French monarchy led the French society against its own administration. This political front of the people against the government led to the formation of the revolution. With the revolution, the nationalist movement had the opportunity to increase its presence. The nationalism movement negatively affected the Ottoman Empire as well as the multinational states. The Ottoman Empire, in the face of this negative situation brought by the revolution; It was insufficient for the revolts of minorities due to political, economic and military factors. In this study, we tried to focus on the negativities of the increasing nationalism movement in the Ottoman Empire after the French Revolution. In addition, the political events caused by these negativities were also mentioned.
