Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ironinin özelliklerine ve görselleştirme sürecine Türk resim sanatından bir örnek sanatçı olan Cemal Erez’in resimleri üzerinden odaklanmaktır. Bir yöntem olarak ironi, sanat yapıtlarında görsel dili görsel efektlerle ortaya çıkarma olarak kullanılmaktadır. Zıt mantıklara sahip görüntüler, görsel ironiyi göstermek için aynı anda tek bir alanda birleştirilir. İroninin, zıt ya da çelişkili imgelerle durumları yönlendirmek ve bunları bildiğimizden farklı bir şekilde çarpıtarak, görüntüleri ve durumları belirsiz hale getirmek gibi bir özelliği vardır. Bu makalede sanatta ironi kullanımı ve resim sanatında ironiye bir örnek olarak Cemal Erez’in Yedi Günah” isimli seri tabloları odağa alınarak sanatçının ironiye yaklaşımı, oluşturduğu kompozisyonların analiz edilmesiyle değerlendirilecektir. Eserlerin ironi kavramı üzerinden incelenmesi, ironinin etkileşim ve işlevsellik bakımından araştırılması, ironin resim sanatındaki yeri, önemi ve etkisine bir örnek olarak sunulacaktır.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to focus on the features of irony and the visualization process through the paintings of Cemal Erez, an exemplary artist from Turkish painting. As a method, irony is used in artworks as revealing visual language with visual effects. Images with opposing logics are combined into one space at the same time to show visual irony. Irony has the property of manipulating situations with contrasting or contradictory images and distorting them in a way that is different from what we know, making images and situations ambiguous. In this article, the use of irony in art and Cemal Erez's series titled "Seven Sins" as an example of irony in painting will be focused on, and the artist's approach to irony will be evaluated by analyzing the compositions he has created. Examining the works through the concept of irony, investigating irony in terms of interaction and functionality, will be presented as an example of the place as the importance and effect of irony in the art of painting.
