Abstract
Toplumlar tarih boyunca, değerlerini, bilgi ve birikimlerini anlatılarıyla kaydedip bir sonraki nesle aktarmışlardır. Bu aktarım, iletişim ortamlarına göre şekillenmiştir. Gelişen teknolojiyle birlikte yeni iletişim ortamlarının ortaya çıkması, anlatıların aktarım olanaklarını her geçen gün genişletmiştir. Anlatıların temelinde sözlü, yazılı, sabit veya hareketli bir görüntüyle çeşitli şekillerde var olan düzenli ifade biçimleri vardır. Romanlardan sinemaya çok sayıda film uyarlanmıştır. Uyarlama kavramı yazılı dilini, görsel ve işitsel dile çevirme sürecidir. Sinemanın ortaya çıkışından itibaren sürekli karşılaştırılan edebiyat ve sinema sanatı, birbiriyle etkileşim halinde olmuşlardır. Sinema, romandan hikaye ve anlatım teknikleri açısından yararlanırken, roman da sinemanın betimleme ve birleştirme tekniklerinden faydalanmıştır. Roman ve sinema, farklı iki iletişim ortamı olarak, anlatılarını kendine özgü araçlarla oluşturmaktadır. Romanda araç yazı dili iken, sinemada gösterimdir. Buna göre romanda, hikayede olanın anlatılması, sinemada ise hikayedeki oluşun sunulması söz konusudur. Bu çalışmada; Robert Bloch’un "Sapık" romanında yer alan duştaki cinayet bölümü ve bu romandan uyarlanan Alfred Hitchcock’un "Sapık" filmindeki duştaki cinayet sahnesi, karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Societies have always recorded their values, knowledge and experience with their narratives and transferred them to the next generation. This transfer is shaped in accordance with the communication media. The emergence of new communication environments with the developing technology has expanded the transmission possibilities of narratives day by day. At the heart of the narratives are the forms of regular expression that exist in various forms with an oral, written, fixed or moving image. Many films have been adapted from novels to movies. The concept of adaptation is the process of translating written language into visual and auditory language. Literature and the art of cinema, which have been constantly compared since the emergence of cinema, have been in interaction with each other. While the cinema benefited from the novel in terms of story and narration techniques, the novel also benefited from the description and combining techniques of the cinema. Novel and cinema, as two different communication mediums, create their narratives with their own unique tools. While the medium is the written language in the novel, it is the display in the cinema. Accordingly, in the novel, it is the narration of what happens in the story, and in the cinema, it is the presentation of the happening in the story. In this study; The murder in the shower in Robert Bloch's novel "Psycho" and the murder scene in the shower in Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" movie adapted from this novel are analyzed comparatively.
