“To what extent does corporate entrepreneurship exist at Russian Railways?” was the main research question of this study which required measuring perceptions of employees and exploring managers’ opinions to develop an understanding about factors which has been fostering or hindering the development of this management concept in Russian Railways. Owing to the use of quantitative and qualitative approaches together, a case study research based on Russian Railways was designed and a triangulation procedure was pursued. The data collection procedure included interviewing and questionnaires which were carried out with the managers at Russian Railways and the selected employees of the organisation, respectively. The findings showed that corporate entrepreneurship exist at Russian Railways however it is not fully-embedded yet. However, the statistical analysis showed that corporate entrepreneurship at Russian SOEs are determined by the business tenure of the employees which, plays a moderating role in linking innovativeness and proactiveness to corporate entrepreneurship.
