Abstract

Dünyayı ve ülkemizi saran COVID-19 süreci, çalışma biçimlerini dönüştürmüştür. Bunun sonucunda ise, çalışanların çalışma alışkanlıkları değişmiş, pek çok çalışan evinden çalışmaya başlamıştır. Evden çalışma ile birlikte, çalışma saatleri giderek uzamış ve çalışanların işi ve yaşamı dengelemeleri bir hayli zorlaşmıştır. Bu noktada, iş yaşam dengesi kavramı karşımıza çıkmaktadır. İş yaşam dengesi en basit ifadeyle çalışanın iş ve yaşama eşit biçimde zaman ayırmasıdır. Buna ek olarak, bireylerin iş ve yaşamdaki rollerinden eşit biçimde mutlu ve memnun olmalarıdır. Bir alanın, diğer alana sınır ihlali yapmamasıdır. Literatürde iş yaşam dengesine ilişkin çeşitli çalışmalar mevcuttur. Çalışmamızda iş yaşam dengesi COVID dönemindeki özellikleri ile gözden geçirilmiştir. Çalışmamızın amacı COVID-19 döneminde çalışma düzeninin değişmesi ile birlikte, iş-yaşam dengesi kavramını ele almaktır. Bu amaca yönelik olarak, çalışmamızda pandemi döneminde iş yaşam dengesi kavramına değinilecektir.

Çalışma ile örgütsel davranış alanındaki literatüre katkı sağlanması hedeflenmiştir.

Abstract

The COVID-19 process, which has surrounded in the world and in our country, has transformed the working ways. As a result of this, the employees’ working habits have changed and many employees have started to work from their homes. With working from home, working hours have become longer and it has become really difficult for employees to balance their work and life. At this point, the concept of work-life balance emerges. Work-life balance is allowing time equally to work and life. In addition to this, it means that individuals are equally happy and satisfied with their roles in both work and life areas. Also, it is keeping two areas without interference of work and life areas. In the literature, there are various studies on work-life balance. In our study, work-life balance was reviewed with its features during the COVID period. With the change of working order during the COVID-19 period, the aim of this study is to handle the concept of work-life balance. For this purpose, the concept of work-life balance in pandemic term will be mentioned in our study.

It was aimed that this study will contribute to the organizational behavior study field.
